About Fatima

From the south-east, for the south-east.

I'm Fatima — a real estate agent with LJ Hooker Casey, working Melbourne's south-east from Dandenong to Pakenham. Before real estate I ran my own clothing business, so I learned the only way that lasts: look after people properly and they come back.

Somewhere along the way I started filming it all, and 20,000 of you came along for the ride. Today I sell across Hampton Park, Cranbourne and Endeavour Hills — a lot of it off market — with the awards and the boards to show for it.

Real estate has little to do with selling and buying houses — and everything to do with dealing with people.

I walk through homes on camera every week — the good rooms and the awkward ones, what a street is really like, what a place is worth and why. Over time 20,000+ on Instagram came along for it.

That following isn't a vanity number; it's a buyer list. When your home goes live, it isn't only waiting on the portals — it's in front of thousands of people who already trust the person walking them through it. That's a real head start, and it's exactly why a chunk of my work happens quietly, off-market specialist, before a board ever goes up.

We can do this in the language your family actually speaks.

So many families across Casey speak more than one language at home, and selling a house is the biggest decision most of us make. It shouldn't have to happen in your second language.

I speak English, Dari, Farsi, Hindi and Urdu fluently — so the price talk, the contracts and the nervous questions can all happen in the words you're most comfortable in, and nothing gets lost on the way.

Most people want an agent who agrees with them. I'd rather tell you the truth about your home — what it's worth, what to fix, when to sell — than tell you what you want to hear and waste your time.

Where are you based, and who do I actually deal with?

I'm with LJ Hooker Casey, working across Melbourne's south-east from the Hampton Park office. When you ring, you get me — not a call centre — and I reply within a day, most evenings included.

How does the Instagram side actually help me as a seller?

The filming I do every week has built a following of buyers and locals who already trust how I read a home, so when yours comes up I can put it in front of real people, not just the portals. In my experience that means a warm audience from day one — and often a quiet conversation with the right buyer before a board ever goes up.

Why does it matter that you speak five languages?

Selling or buying is the biggest decision most families make, and it shouldn't have to happen in your second language. Being able to talk through the price, the contracts and the worried questions in Dari, Farsi, Hindi, Urdu or English means nothing gets lost — and people tend to relax and ask what they really want to ask.

What makes you different from other agents in the area?

I'll tell you the truth about your home — what it's really worth, what's worth fixing and what isn't — even when it's not what you hoped to hear. I'd rather lose a listing than win it on a number I can't stand behind, and most of my work comes from people I've been straight with before.

Do you only work in your core suburbs?

Those are my home patch and where I know every street, but the City of Casey is one connected corridor and I move across all of it. If you're just outside it, ring me anyway — if I'm not the right fit I'll point you to someone who is, no hard feelings.

Can I just have a no-pressure chat before deciding anything?
